This was really helpful. I’m about to fly for the first time as an adult and I had no clue what I could take! The government Web page about it is useless, so being able to see what is allowed is really helpful, thank you.

  It’s so easy now – anything 100ml or less and they provide you with the bag themselves now. try and limit yourself

Thank you SO MUCH for being thorough! I have been wondering about the cream foundations for a long while and you are the first one to mention products like that that might be considered solid or liquid. I just found out my favorite carry-on is too big (haven’t flown for 3 or 4 years) and I’m kinda freaking out about what I can take!

  +Katherine Swanson it all depends with who you fly with now. A lot of things have changed since I posted this videos. Most airports now give you a nice zip lock bag just for liquids only. Other makeup doesn’t need to go in this bag xx

FYI, it’s been quite a while since this video was published so let me refresh some minds about TSA rules. In the US, you’re only allowed liquids 3.4oz (100ml) or less and they all must fit in one quart size clear bag. Makeup solids (powders, lipsticks, blush, etc.) are okay to take and there is no limit. Mascara also counts as a liquid. Also, like I mentioned, this is within the US TSA rules. I’ve double checked with them and they’ve said on both occasions, only in a quart size bag are your liquids allowed. Not so sure how others got away with it. You can always tweet or message them at @AskTSA if you have doubts, questions, or concerns. Safe travels!

  Thank you!!! I’m freaking out because I only took cruise ships from where I live but this year I will fly to a destination. I got so many beauty products right now. If I put them on a suitcase that will travel on cargo, can I put all of my products and medications???? (Travel sizes or not?) Thanks again!!!

This is very helpful and informative. I was scared that if I put my powder products like eyeshadows, highlighters, bronzer, etc. in checked baggage, it would shatter and break. Thank you so much! 🙂

I’m so glad I found your video, I am flying from Fl to Ca in 2 weeks and have been so worried about my precious makeup. I just JUST went and bought more and really didn’t want it to be taken away.
