Dubai is an amazing place, but it’s easy to be arrested for things that you might consider to be normal. Swearing, alcohol and eating or drinking during Ramadan can get you into some serious trouble. You could be fined or imprisoned for doing these things so please watch this video and double check the laws before you go.

Great advice thank you.
Glad it was helpful!
Very informative. Thank you.
Thanks Gina
I like how you have put this together.. please keep doing more of these.. 😊
Thank you! Will do!
Been to dubai 4 times; It is amazing!
I totally agree. Can’t wait to go back and see the Expo.
I would feel like squidward in that one episode where that one fish bear (country) hates and is against enything you do and will come get you.
I would probably appreciate that more if I understood the reference?
This was really helpful!
Glad it was helpful! Most of the time, they turn a blind eye to these in touristy areas.
Also *NEVER* go into debt in Dubai, for any reason – in the UAE, failure to keep up loan payments / car payments etc is exactly the same as theft in the eyes of the law. So if you buy a car on a payment plan, then lose your job, you might wind up getting thrown in jail for it. If you do not have the money for it ready to hand over, don’t go signing up for a loan or payment plan.
Yes, that is correct!
You really have awesome videos, great content, it helps me a lot! Thank you!!!!
Thanks!
This video was *VERY HELPFUL!* I would *NEVER* take a trip to that place *AFTER* watching *THIS VIDEO* in *ADDITION* to *OTHER ONES* I’ve seen!
I lived there for 2 years. The laws didn’t change my lifestyle at all. I drank in bars and at home. I dressed normally (just covered up at work and in mosques) I stayed in hotels with my boyfriend. The people are very friendly.
@Charlie boy ya, great indeed. And for those who would seek `intellectual or cultural nourishment, art, music of a decent level I think would be starved to death as well
@Charlie boy 🤨
He forgot to mention visiting the beaches. I think it’s “Only Women” day on Sundays. My guy friend and I were shocked!
Wow…I still will go to Dubai but never knew all of these strict rules…thank you for putting up such an informative video..
My pleasure. But honestly, so long as you don’t make it obvious that you’re breaking these rules, you could probably get away with most of them.
i love this video…he gives evidence to back his claim
I do. Thanks.
I like this video because this is the FIRST video about rules in Dubai which is TRUE!
Love this man a

@Daniel Keith what whas so great about it over there, can you be a bit more specific?
@Galobojet most countries have rules for being drunk and disorderly and getting into fights or drink driving but usually if you’re not causing agro the police don’t bother you. Its not an arrestable offence to be tipsy. Of it was roughly in line with other countries it wouldn’t be a problem but the laws are very draconian
@katakisLives people drink and smoke here too your know just that they are being safe and to avoid fights in the streets is why they have laws for it
@NatesLife not the religon bud be respectfull u r hearing this from a person probably younger than you have some respect dude
@Ultimate Bucket List I wonder the sort of conversations you have there. And whether you can choose freely who to talk with. And making new friends. Outside of your expat or tourist circle, that is. Or…. as a woman
I hope you went, this description is not Dubai.
Alot of these arent real 🙂
Every country has rules 💁♂️
He works for Godolphin as a fluffer 🤫
@Nikki Jack I hear about these types of things frequently and then they will arrest people for public displays of affection yet they allow the worst low level celebs that take their clothes off on Instagram for a living, backwards.
@ella palatic I jus watched that story…what they said was the CBD oil was found in his car. The friend he dropped to the airport forgot it in the car. That 25 years is really harsh bcoz the friend admitted it was his. I find it utterly crazy. I hope jus parents find a way to get justice and bring their son home😔
Say that to the young man who has been sentenced to 25 years in prison because a visiting friend of his smoked cbd oil. Even though his drug test was clear. 🤔🙄
@Fudpukker headshake your way to the bus stop. We have all lived in that place and I will never go back bobblyboo
@Fudpukker Artur Ligęska from Poland had an interesting time over there. Have you heard of this guy?
@Forza223 Bowe USA is a great place, but the laws need changing
@Divlji Bucak these videos tend to exaggerate a lot. I’ve lived in dubai for 17 years now and its probably the least strict Muslim country I’ve ever been to. Dress laws are a lot more loose then you may think, you just need to know where you are. Everybody wears crop tops and short shorts in dubai mall, jbr, and most touristy spots, its only certain places where you need to mind how you dress, and those places will usually have a sign at the entrance letting you know. You don’t have to tip, and police are very reasonable. You won’t just get arrested because someone is offended, waving is fine, being loud is fine. Its all about time and place, you don’t go around swearing loudly when you are in a restaurant or at a mosque or metro. Just be respectful and nobody will care at all
@Sameer Naveed That’s no way to attract tourists. I mean i would respect most of these rules anyway, and if a policeman warns me about something i would obey and correct myself, but getting arrested for breaking unintentionaly those rules is just crazy. Soo what, if i don’t give enough tip waiter can call the police and i will be arrested? If i wave to my wife in order to show her where i am in the crowd i will insult locals and get arrested? That is all terrible. We were in Qatar last year and we didn’t have to worry about any of these, we just acted nice and politely and locals did the same.
@Forza223 Bowe no they dont all those rules are perfectly fine. If ur not a muslim then u may struugle with controlling yourself is basically what your saying. Afterall its a muslim country if you dont like it get out
dont got to this country its not good and look at the website “detained in dubai”
Bc Muslims have such and old way if thinking lol
not rly, its not exactly possible to try to not break the law if things u usually do dont. As long as you dont TRY to break the law in western countries you won’t, not that they’re trying to. You gotta factor that in
@Ori well it all depends on how conservatively you want to interpret the idea of modestly a lot of religions allude to women dressing modestly in their texts the culture is in how far this is taken and in majority Muslim countries it’s taken to the absolute extreme limit. Kinda like Victorian modestly on speed! The texts form the basis the culture is usually found in the interpretation.
@Ori thats not a reason lmao
